Coyote TaskForce (CTF) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide high quality employment services, public awareness, and advocacy for adults living with serious mental illnesses, in the belief that work is an integral part of recovery and well-being.
CTF was established by a group of clubhouse members, mental health workers, families, and advocates as a consumer-run business and was awarded the contract to run Our Place Clubhouse in November 1992. For over twenty years, Coyote TaskForce has been under the direction of Mindy Bernstein, who holds over 30 years of clinical and administrative experience working with adults with disabilities.
CTF opened Café 54 in 2004, a revolutionary restaurant that simultaneously dismantles the stigma of mental illness while providing hands-on work training and job development for adults in mental health recovery, as well as delicious, fresh cuisine and catering.
CTF is a proud owner of its own building and facilities, a unique, dignified, and professional space designed by members and staff. Our Place Clubhouse and Café 54 are conveniently located downtown, near the Ronstadt Transit Center.
We were thrilled to be part of the Community Giving event on Sunday, November 25, at Naranja Park in Oro Valley, hosted by Cenergi, LLC! There was a raffle, local small business vendors, arts and craft vendors, hands-on activities for the whole family, delicious food, and live music by the Jacob Acosta Band! Part of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Coyote TaskForce, in addition to two other great nonprofits, Wings for Women Tucson and D-S Rescue!
Thanks to everyone who joined us and the Tucson Presidio Rotary Club for the annual Presidio Passport Event on Saturday, November 3! Generously sponsored by Arizona Complete Health, this downtown/Fourth Avenue food tour featured some of Tucson’s best restaurants and benefited Cafe 54, our job training program for adults recovering from mental illness. With your help, we raised $5,700 for Cafe 54! Thank you, Tucson!
Thanks to everyone who attended Mosh for Mental Health on Friday, September 7, at the Rialto Theatre! Six of Tucson's favorite heavy metal bands played to benefit CTF's employment programs, including Cafe 54 and Our Place Clubhouse. We’re so grateful for the help of the Tucson Maidens of Metal and Local Love Promotions, as well as bands Decayer, Sorrows Ruin, Pyrotechnica, Minutes to Midnight, Bury Me Alive, and Spear Brittany.
